OEM 100 Series 2003-2007 Toyota Land Cruiser LX470 LHD Power Steering Rack and Pinion Gear Assembly

Safety disclaimer: it is the experience of Cruiser Patch that the following steering rack part numbers are susceptible to inner tie rods backing out: 44250-60100, 44250-60120. Because of this, Cruiser Patch staff removes the steering rack boots, checks the torque of the inner tie rods, and if necessary, installs a set of Cruiser Patch claw washers for extra retention strength. It is the responsibility of the end-user to complete safety checks before installation. Neither Cruiser Patch nor its staff can be held responsible for the improper installation of parts or failure of parts which were defective from the original manufacturer (Toyota/Lexus).

OEM replacement power steering rack found in mid & late model (2003-2007) left-hand-drive 100 Series Toyota Land Cruiser and Lexus LX470.

Some owners opt to retrofit the Lexus LX470 steering rack (44250-60120) into their 100 Series Toyota Land Cruiser to decrease the steering ratio from 19.8:1 to 18.0:1 for better off-road performance. LX owners can also use the LC rack in order to save a little bit of money on a new steering rack.

The VGRS system found in the Lexus LX470 decreases the "mechanical steering ratio" (Variable Gear Ratio Steering is electronically assisted steering) from 18:1 to 12.4:1 (or 13.64 if using the LC rack).
